What is Signal Trader Pro?
STP is the culmination of my (Enrique Abeyta) life’s work in the stock market and making money for investors.
Three decades ago, I began my journey as a professional investor. My focus – like most investors – was on the fundamentals and valuation.
My mentors – who had a combined century of experience in investing – mentored me and taught me how to use that approach to make money for our investors.
With this training, I went out with two partners and formed my first hedge fund a few years later. We launched with $585,000 of assets; I was only 28 years old!
We worked hard and smart and eventually grew that fund to one of the world's 100 largest fundamental long/short hedge funds.
In my heart, though, I was always a math guy…
Even when looking at the fundamentals and building the narrative, I knew there was a way to tie all this back to the numbers. A way we could systematically capture how we were making money.
Refine the data and optimize to do more of what was making us money and less of what was losing us money.
This desire was the birth of STP some twenty years ago.
My best friend (Mark Intrieri) just so happened to be an accomplished computer programmer. He was part of a small team that helped develop the groundbreaking API for Bloomberg.
He also is passionate about trading and investing.
At that first hedge fund, we created our proprietary software – a quantitative overlay – to monitor and measure our data. We then set it loose to help us make more money.
A few years later, we continued this process, and I left that fund and founded my own – 360 Global Capital.
With Mark as one of my co-founders, we fully embraced our data-centric approach.
We called it our "Quantamental" approach. An approach that combines technical analysis ("quantitative") and operational analysis ("fundamental") to optimize our returns.
We fully integrated this proprietary software platform into our process and generated some great returns.
Unfortunately, market volatility and issues with a large investor forced us to shut down after a few years of success.
Our passion for the markets and this approach, though, never wavered.
Mark continued to work with me in my business ventures, and about a year ago, we decided it was TIME. Time for us to put everything together and bring the power of this platform to regular folks.
After a few years of running an e-commerce company in music, I was introduced to the newsletter business via my business with Whitney Tilson – Empire Financial Research.
The great folks at Stansberry Research enabled us to build a great franchise that incorporated the highest level of Wall Street research. Making money for big institutions and wealthy people was profitable but not nearly as rewarding as being able to bring that expertise to ordinary people.
After more than two decades in the markets, I had found my calling – bringing our research to you.
Now, with Signal Trader Pro, we have combined these two great missions in my life.
STP is a software platform that uses the power of ALGORITHMIC TRADING to identify winning stock ideas.
You may have heard of algorithmic trading. It is the philosophy that has powered much of the success of the biggest hedge funds, like Citadel and Millenium.
What it means is that we have put together a sophisticated formula that looks across multiple technical and fundamental factors to identify high-probability bets in the stock market.
We then put that formula on top of a universe of over 1,400 liquid stocks to systematically identify opportunities.
This process is what has powered my hugely successful TRADING newsletters at Empire, HX Research, and now with The Maverick at Paradigm Press.
The goal of this strategy is as follows:
HIGH HIT RATE
Over time the strategy has over a 60%+ success rate of positions making money.
MID- to HIGH-SINGLE DIGIT RETURNS
The different versions of the strategy have generated 5% to 10% average returns and on average around +6%.
AVERAGE 50 DAY HOLDING PERIOD
A +6% return doesn’t sound high but when you do it across 50-days it annualizes out at more than a +50% return.
ALPHA GENERATION
The strategy also consistently outperforms the stock market.

We will share unique market insights derived from our system, review recent signals from the system, and walk you through how and why they worked or didn't work.
We'll share individual user experiences on how they are using the system to change their financial futures.
We'll walk you through every aspect of our process in tremendous detail.
Occasionally, we will also share some of the signals from the system. We will, however, save the vast majority of them for our paying subscribers.
We hope you will find STP Algo Trader to be educational and informative.
